If you have not tried sunchokes than definetly put it on the next grocery list. This unique vegetable just kicks it up a knotch to any sauteed vegetable. It is found at Central Market and looks like ginger root. Just peel skin, slice thin and sautee with any vegetable (goes great with sun burst squash) has a slight nutty flavor.

Jerusalem Artichoke History
Jerusalem artichoke, botanically-named Helianthus tuberosus, is the tuber of a variety of perennial flower in the aster family. The flowers look like small yellow sunflowers. Also marketed as sunchokes, these gnarly little tubers look a lot like ginger root. Perhaps the most important root cash crop to originate in North America, the tubers have a potato-like texture often recommended as a potato substitute for diabetics.
It's probably the most asked question in every household. I recommend making a grocery list and planning out your Dinner plans for the next week. This has helped out Sarah & I with trying to juggle so many things in our work week that knowing what's for dinner is not an issue. So what's for Dinner in the Weber/Brody household? Sundays are always elaborate meals for us. It is truly the one day I really enjoy cooking.

I never thought I was the type to read a blog or blog myself but here I am sharing my thoughts on my favorite topic "FOOD". I was destined to be a Chef. I can't imagine being anything else. My fondest memories have always been food related. My mom would tell this story of when I was young that I had one solid leg because I was so chunky that you couldn't see the separation of two legs. My favorite food at that age was sweet potatoes and holding them double fisted.
I can honestly say I don't think there is anthing in this world that we all do collectively that can bring people together like Food.
